Andrew Trost | Camera Operator

Originally from St. Louis, MO, Andrew Trost has made a name for himself as a distinguished Director of Photography, living and working in New York City. Over the past decade, Andrew’s collaborations with artists and directors of varying backgrounds have gained global recognition and have resulted in nominations and awards in prestigious festivals from around the world.

As a proud member of ICG Local 600, Andrew has worked alongside the best in the industry on movies and television for major studios. He’s collaborated with many acclaimed Directors of Photography, including Benedict Spence, BSC (Eric, Netflix) and Adrian Peng Correia (Ramy, A24; Love Life, HBO).

Bloom was shot over six days on an ALEXA Mini LF using Masterbuilt lenses. The film required more than 150 unique setups in nearly 20 locations with only minimal crew and equipment. A nimble production was key to the visual approach, and a creative atmosphere was encouraged among all crew to experiment in the film’s vibrant world.

Andrew continues to promote creative growth and inclusivity in all of his projects. Between filming you can find him exploring new cuisines, taking photographs and hiking with his loyal dog, Mason.
