Bartosz Nalazek studied photography at the Warsaw School of Photography, then cinematography at The Polish National Film School in Lodz. He was a scholar of the prestigious Budapest Cinematography Masterclass led by Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC. Nalazek assisted cinematographer Janusz Kaminski on feature films War Horse and Lincoln, directed by Steven Spielberg, and on The Judge. He was cinematographer for numerous short fiction films, documentary films, music videos and commercials, and he worked as a light designer and video artist for Polish avant-garde theater directors. In 2013 Nalazek debuted two independent feature films, and he was cinematographer for The New York Times Magazine’s Making a Scene video feature, which included such big-screen actors as Cate Blanchett, Robert Redford, Bradley Cooper, Forest Whitaker and others.
