Jason Hafer, a camera operator who grew up in Petaluma, has been named a recipient of Hollywood’s Emerging Cinematographer Award for his work as the cinematographer on the short film “Incident on Highway 73.” The sci-fi movie has also garnered a dozen festival awards. The 2013 ECA honoree films will be screened at the Geneva Film Festival, on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 3:30 PM (CST), located at Dodson Place, 437 S. 3rd St., Geneva, IL 60134. For more information about Geneva FF, visit http://www.genevafilmfestival.org/.

The call for entry deadline for the 2014 ECA has been extended to Wednesday, March 12, 2014, 5:30 PM (PST).

All ten (10) ECA films will be screened at Camerimage in Bydgoszcz Poland on Thursday, November 21st at 6:00 PM. Located in the Multikino Cinema Room #6. The entire festival runs from November 16-23, 2013. For more information click here.
